Job Title: Accounts Receivable/Receptionist
Reports To: Controller
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Location: Parkston, SD
Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable & Receptionist is responsible for entering customer invoices, answering phone calls, and providing excellent front desk customer service. This position serves as the first point of contact for customers, vendors, and visitors, while ensuring the company’s accounts receivable processes are accurate, efficient, and timely.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable Duties
- Generate and distribute customer invoices.
- Monitor accounts for overdue balances and communicate with customers to resolve payment issues.
- Generate and distribute monthly customer statements.
Receptionist Duties
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls promptly.
- Respond to general inquiries via phone and in person.
- Create shipping tickets for outgoing packages.
- Various administration tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher preferred).
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or a related field.
- Previous receptionist or front desk experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Light lifting (up to 20 lbs.) for office supplies or mail handling.
- Frequent use of computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment with frequent interaction with customers, vendors, visitors, and internal staff.
