MDS Manufacturing is seeking a qualified drafting technician to join our busy staff. This position is responsible for the development of new and maintenance of existing designs of agricultural attachments and livestock gating systems. Produce full detailed drawings using SolidEdge , create bills of materials and operations, and integrate them into an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. Must complete drawings in a timely manner to meet project schedules and work closely with production personnel to troubleshoot design issues. Qualified applicants should have an Associates degree in CAD (Computer Aided Design) and/or 2 years mechanical drafting experience. Person must be proficient in Microsoft Office software products. WIRE FEED WELDER
Wire feed welding experience required; be able to read/ interpret blueprints and test sheets; gather and organize all parts in a logical building order; follow instructions from supervisor/team lead or blueprints in order to weld all necessary parts together; set welding gun to correct thickness; operate welding gun and plasma torch to weld and cut necessary holes; visually inspect work to ensure that all parts are correctly welded to employers engineering and quality standards; produce quality welds on a variety of metals (mild steel and stainless steel). Qualified applicant will be responsible for performing equipment installation and maintenance of livestock equipment.; required to assemble equipment and inspect for proper installation; unload and move equipment into position; basic plumbing and welding a plus; be able to lift 50 – 75 lbs. without assistance; be physically able to kneel, squat, bend and push/pull; work in various weather conditions; and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
